Employee Conduct & Expectations Policy
Applies to All Part-Time and Full-Time Employees of Da Bones LLC
Da Bones LLC is built on professionalism, integrity, and compassionate care. To ensure our clients receive the highest level of service — and to protect our team — all employees must agree to and uphold the following expectations. This policy supplements the terms of your signed employment agreement.
1. Communication Standards
All communication with clients must be respectful, professional, and occur through company-approved platforms or emails.
No texting or calling clients from personal numbers unless specifically authorized.
Employees must report any inappropriate client behavior or boundary-crossing to management immediately.
Internal team conflicts should be brought to management, not discussed with clients or on public platforms.
2. Schedule Commitments & Time Management
Employees are expected to honor all accepted shifts, arrive on time, and complete the full service.
Cancellations must be made with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice, except in emergencies.
Repeated tardiness or missed shifts without communication may result in disciplinary action or termination.
Employees are expected to keep a weekly availability calendar updated in the scheduling system.
3. Uniforms, Identification & Conduct in Public
When representing Da Bones in the field, employees must:
Wear clean, branded or neutral clothing (if uniforms are provided, they must be worn).
Use Da Bones leashes, keys, or bags only for work purposes.
Behave professionally in public spaces, avoiding phone use, smoking, or loitering during walks or visits.
Never bring unauthorized individuals (friends, family, or romantic partners) on a walk or pet visit.
4. Use of Client Property & Privacy
Employees may not take photos inside a client’s home without written permission.
Client belongings, home layouts, habits, and pet schedules are considered confidential.
Employees are strictly prohibited from:
Using client property (TV, appliances, food, etc.)
Sharing client photos or names on social media without company and client approval
Entering rooms or areas not related to the pet service
5. Social Media & Representation
Employees may not post videos or photos of pets or clients publicly without explicit written approval.
Personal opinions, frustrations, or complaints related to Da Bones must never be shared on public platforms.
Employees may not list Da Bones clients or contacts on personal service pages, apps, or resumes without written consent.
6. Supplies, Keys & Equipment
All company-issued supplies (keys, key cards, poop bags, leashes, etc.) must be returned upon termination or reassignment.
Lost or unreturned items may result in replacement fees deducted from the final paycheck (if permitted by state law).
Employees are expected to report damaged or missing equipment immediately.
7. Confidentiality & Internal Business
All client and company records, passwords, and personal data must be treated as confidential.
Any attempt to access internal documents without permission (e.g., pay structures, client lists) is grounds for termination.
Employees may not discuss company decisions, pay rates, or internal operations with clients.
8. Offboarding & Departure Conduct
Upon giving notice, employees will no longer be assigned new clients or services unless otherwise approved.
All company property must be returned on or before the final day.
Employees may not attempt to continue services with Da Bones clients privately after departure.
Any attempt to solicit clients during or after offboarding will result in a formal breach fee and legal review.
9. Accountability & Disciplinary Process
Violations of this policy may result in:
Written or verbal warnings
Reduction or removal of shifts
Immediate termination for serious or repeated offenses
Financial recovery for damages or client losses caused by breach of contract
