Independent Contractor Expectations & Terms

For All Pet Care Providers Working With Da Bones LLC

At Da Bones LLC, we partner with Independent Contractors (ICs) who share our values of compassion, professionalism, and trust. While contractors are not employees, all ICs who accept assignments through Da Bones are expected to uphold the following standards, policies, and responsibilities to protect our clients, our reputation, and the overall integrity of the company.

1. Professional Conduct

Contractors are expected to:

Represent Da Bones with professionalism and care when interacting with clients, pets, and team members.

Communicate clearly, respectfully, and promptly with clients only through approved channels.

Refrain from discussing internal operations, pay rates, or client details with others.

2. Scheduling & Availability

Contractors must commit to services they accept. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance, except in emergencies.

Repeated no-shows or late arrivals may result in termination of future scheduling.

Availability should be updated weekly and confirmed through our company system or with the scheduling lead.

3. Appearance & Public Behavior

Contractors must present themselves in clean, appropriate, and neutral or branded attire.

Public behavior while on duty should reflect the Da Bones standard: no smoking, loud phone use, or inappropriate conduct during pet services.

No third-party individuals (partners, friends, children) may accompany you on pet care assignments.

4. Use of Company Materials & Property

All Da Bones-provided items (keys, leashes, branded gear) must be returned when requested or upon ending your contract.

Contractors may be held financially responsible for lost, stolen, or unreturned items.

5. Client Interaction Boundaries

The following rules are non-negotiable:

No direct payment from clients under any circumstances.

No off-platform arrangements or continued service with any client introduced via Da Bones.

Contractors may not suggest or accept private service opportunities from clients.

Even if a client initiates contact, contractors must refer them back to the company.

6. Breach of Terms & Fees

Violating the above policies results in immediate removal from the Da Bones platform and may incur the following fees:

Violation Fee or Action

Contract Violation (e.g. private booking) $350 (minimum)

Continued service with Da Bones client $750–$2,000 (based on client value)

Failure to return equipment Replacement cost deducted or invoiced
